Everyone can use a little motivation from time to time. This reminded me of an article that I read recently regarding how signs can influence how people make decisions. Not just immediate, rash decisions but also future ones. According to the article, “signs in buildings suggesting that people take the stairs instead of the elevator immediately boosted stair use from nine to 35 percent. Nine months after the signs were posted, stair use was still up 43%.”
I must be in the minority on this subject. I don’t really read signs unless there is one promoting a sale on Cheez-It’s. Then it would most definitely influence me to stock up.
