As you probably know, there are thousands of “prank videos” on the internet. We have posted several on this blog that involve elevators or escalators. Well, here is one more for your viewing pleasure. This one is pretty simple. A group of college kids try to trick their classmates into thinking that they are in the presence of the supernatural. One member of the “pranksters” dresses up as a ‘Star Wars’ Jedi (well, at least that is what he is supposed to be), while another uses his own kind of force to open the elevator doors from the outside (and by force, we mean pressing the “up” button).
May the Force be with you. Or, at least, with that weird guy in a hoodie waving his arm back and forth.
Note: One use of bad language in the video. Watch with caution.
So, is there really missing footage that involves an elevator in the movie Return of the Jedi? This clip shows Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in the elevator on the way to the Emperor’s throne room (uploaded on YouTube by G. Johnson).
Okay, well, maybe the video was embellished a bit and the “awkward elevator music” was inserted. But, you have to admit, it is pretty funny!
Just for the record this is Darth Maul, a fictional character in the science fiction movie Star Wars. Darth Maul had to take the escalators to get to the premier of his new movie The Phantom Menace in 3D. The Bloodfin wasn’t allowed in the theater. Looking back at past posts from this blog it is pretty interesting to see who all we have featured taking the escalator; like Santa, Freddy Krueger and a pigeon just to name a few. Now that you are up to speed on this historic movie series and how escalators relate, “may the force be with you“. Sorry, had to do it.
