LERCH BATES NAMES CALGARY PROJECT MANAGER
Lerch Bates Inc. has named Paul Gauthier project manager for the Calgary, Canada, market. Gauthier’s duties include providing vertical-transportation consulting services for design, maintenance and modernization projects in what Lerch Bates describes as “the biggest office-development market in Canada.” Gauthier comes to Lerch Bates with more than 15 years of industry experience, most recently serving as National Accounts manager for Fujitec Canada.

CEC MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS MOVE
ThyssenKrupp Elevator U.S. Manufacturing relocated its Computerized Elevator Control (CEC) manufacturing operations to its Middleton, Tennessee, facility, on March 1. In conjunction with the move, the new SWIFT Futura T, a nonproprietary controller for both new installations and modernizations, was announced. Customers can still obtain technical assistance, parts and component replacements for all SWIFT products. The facility is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified.

SCHINDLER SUPPLYING 43 UNITS TO TWIN TOWERS IN CHINA
Schindler has been hired to provide 43 of its high-rise, 7000-series elevators to the Twin Towers in Guiyang, China. A pair of 65-story, 300-m-tall towers will house offices and hotel rooms. Twin Towers is one of at least four Schindler projects in China in 2014.
